The game was really close and we were catching up to those one hundred pins we spotted the other team. The captain says, we need you and I agree it's time I stepped up my game a little. Unfortunately, the ball was not in agreement as I hit the head pin too high, leaving the dreaded big four split. Captain yells, take two! And I just nod my head while muttering to myself about that silly split.

I move way to the left to shoot the six-ten. The ball is right where it should be and I am happy watching it go down the lane. Much to my surprise it kicks the 6 pin all the way over to the right taking out the 7 pin! It kicks the wall well enough but it doesn't come back to take out the 4 pin, it just dies in the space between the wall and the lane. Bummer! I have never been so close to picking up that split in my life. Maybe there is hope for that yet, someday :)

Bowling is going okay, my averagfe is still in the 160's and the arm is holding up fairly well so I am happy for that. Next Thursday I am subbing in the early league so I will be bowling back to back leagues. The men's league is against a vacancy team so I should be able to help my team by bowling withing ten pins of my average no matter how the arm feels :)

Started off strong, shooting 181. Should have been better, but I left the 5-7-9 split in the tenth. Should have converted that split to make it a clean game but the five pin went just behind the seven pin and couldn't knowck it over.

Second game was better, clean again for the first nine. then the tenth cheated me out of a 200 game. I threw a nice ball, into the pocket but was left staring at an eight-ten split. I joked to the team captain that in the third game I was going to just skip the tenth frame LOL  Still, a nice game with 191.

Third game started off okay, but then a machine malfunction caused about aten minute delay and the rythym for all of us was shot. I did manage to shoot 155. And, the important part for me was that I broke 500 for the first time this season.

Average goes up to 164 :)
